These are small silver cradles, offered to the deity in this temple by childless couples who want to have kids.

The above snake idol is ? behind the temple, surrounded by umpteen naga stone idols installed by devotees seeking to have kids or seeking to have bad luck removed. Below are a few photos of the literally hundreds of idols installed over the years and still being added. These snake god idols are being installed in new spots in this town as they have run out of space near this temple.
