I enjoy the brief DJ music videos which come on facebook (reels).
These days I am seeing quite a bit of DJ Arab music from the west. I feel a vague sense of guilt that the western women ( that is women in the European and American countries) are enjoying this...women and men here are dancing freely to this music while women from Arab countries i.e. Arab women and women other countries such as Afghanistan are not able to enjoy this music and are not allowed to dance...with the same freedom (by freedom I mean in public places, parties and without the concealing clothes).
The west is enjoying something from Arab culture while Arab women cannot enjoy their own culture.
I dont blame the west of course. I am grateful and enjoying the Arab DJ stuff. It is a cruel shame that men and governments restrict their own womenfolk for no valid reason in these patriarchal societies.
