Abbey Gardens Haliburton, Ontario

Haliburton school of art and design, Ontario

Saturday, March 12th 2022, drove 250 km to Haliburton to take a look at the Haliburton sculpture forest.
Below are photos of some of the sculptures. The sculpture forest is in the Haliburton school of art and design (Fleming College) campus. There are hiking and skiing trails inside theis campus. Lots of parking. No washrooms (the college was closed). There were old wooden cottages and I believe they were part of the Haliburton museum.
We later went to the Haliburton Highlands Brewing which is about twelve minutes drive away. Had a flight of beers with some meat and cheese and left to Toronto.
All in all a great day (No winds and so not too cold), great sunshine and blue sky with white clouds. Not many  people while in sculpture forest. Are these sculptures worth a 250 km drive with inflated gas prices? I am not sure. But I needed to get out of the house, expose myself to the cold, walk a bit to move my frozen muscles!

Goa Indian Farm Kitchen at Bayview Village in Toronto

 Check out this restaurant.

Food is delicious and spicy (I find food in most Indian and Pakistani restaurants too bland for my taste)

Service was good: polite, quick and brisk

Ambience was good

It was such a relaxed pleasure to eat dinner yesterday...out in the community, enjoying the cocktail ( I think I had Bombay mule), delicious plain naan ( it was filling, not oily and tasty) with beef curry.

Looking forward to revisiting when in the vicinity and taking my guests there.  (It's too far from my place but quick to reach with little traffic)

I will never go to Bombey Bhel at Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada ever again! It's an expensive rip off, serving sub-par tasting food!

Today, October 14, 2023 I got chicken vindaloo paying 22$...All I got was 2 small pieces of chicken, 3 pieces of potato....and. very averag...
