Pineary Provincial Park, July 11, 2022

The lovely flower above which was growing in many places at Pineary is the Asclepias tuberosa L also called butterflyweed, butterfly milkweed (but no milk sap in this plant), orange milkweed, Pleurisy root and Chigger flower. It belongs to the milkweed family: Asclepiadaceae

A day trip to Pinery Provincial Park with friends.
Lovely Park
Found 4-5 fossils!! probably over 5 million years old! Found them on the beach, among the smooth beach stones and pebbles.
Lovely sand dunes by the beach...like a stretch of short hills made of sand
Lovely narrow river filled with thousands of water lilies
Many trails
The first place where I found innumerable oak plants and trees...I have seen lots of pine trees in many parts of Ontario but here you see lots of oak trees....which is rare here.

The lines from Julius Caesar I am reminded of today, the 250th year birthday of the American Army

"... why Brutus rose against Caesar, this is my answer: not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more... Had you rather Cae...
