Is this real gold? I saw this on May 14, 2025 outside a house in East York, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I am so puzzled!

 

I walked by this house and saw these, lying there. My brain thinks these are gold-painted bricks but my heart beats faster imagining these are real!

Things which shouldn't be romanticized but are...

 I read an article in buzzfeed a couple of days ago, titled, "15 things that people think are glamorous that actually suck when you are the one living them". 

As I read this article, I realized that there are a zillion things in India which are romanticized but are, in reality, pretty awful, pathetic or underwhelming.

My list is long and I plan to keep adding to it as and when i recall them.

1) The idea of a big happy joint family, propagated by umpteen movies (Kannada and maybe movies of all languages from India. I have seen only Kannada and Hindi movies). Even if every single family member is "good" it's impossible to get along well in a large joint family where the modern values of democracy, women's equality, autonomy, freedom and independence cannot exist due to "traditional" values such as patriarchy, "respect for elders", blind obedience and zero questioning of elders, etc. I have come across miserable women from large joint families who have no say in anything in the household as they are 'youngest daughter-in-law', 'daughter of younger son in the family',  son of never-do-well-son of the family, etc. The absence of financial freedom is simply appalling.  I recall the distress of a mother, from a very rich business family, because her son who wanted to go to college was denied fees and asked to work in the family business after he finished 10th standard. many women had to hand over their salary to their husband or mother in law and then 'given' a pittance for their expenses.

2)  That village folks  and people from small towns are "more honest", more decent, etc. Crime in villages are varied and many and possibly much higher than in cities. But it's never reported, never punished, maybe not even recognized as a crime. The list is loooooooong! Exploitation of the lower caste people by upper castes. sexual assault even within families as women feel ashamed and embarrassed to report. the panchayat's blatant corruption and unfair judgement when cases come before them. It makes my blood boil, even recalling all of the crimes in villages. the crime which is affecting me personally are: 1) theft from my family's crops 2) theft of motor pumpset from 'current room'. 3) theft of fertilizer by farmmer who is supposed to fertilize your land (but he does his with your fertilizer) 4) the expectations of bribe from the bank employees in taluks, the land registration offices, etc.

3)  The poor boy meet rich girl and fall in love and marry or vice versa poor girl meet rich boy...this is the storyline in a million Indian movies.  I recall enjoying a movie in my childhood called auto raja. (rich girl and poor boy). It is simply impossible for love to thrive  when  one or both have to get used to adapting to live in a totally different (and poorer) environment. Poverty,  riches or whatever circumstances...these things affect the development of our personality, thinking, attitudes, values, etc. To then adapt to something totally different because you fell in love with someone who grew up under strikingly different circumstances is very very hard.  I now realize the impossibility of these romances.

4) Several old proverbs in local languages in India glorify values which are now considered immoral, unethical, not legal, misogynistic, etc. Yet, many people still love those proverbs and stories from the Mahabharatha, Ramayana, Panchatantra, etc and quote them. AND, expect today's people to uphold their values! I personally believe that these proverbs and stories should be BANNED. The list of antiwomen, anti lower caste, anti-democracy, anti-feminism proverbs run into hundreds of thousands...proverbs from all Indian languages. 

a female should obey her father when she is born, her husband after she marries and her son in old age is one.

a son should value his mother over his wife.

the story of Ekalavya (and his guru Dronacharya) is one which really boils my blood: a teacher's blatant nepotism and partiality is not recognized and condemned in this story. Instead a lower caste kid who "accepts & obeys instead of raising his voice against his Guru's indecent request" is glorified!

I can go on and on. But I think I made my point.

Trump's audacity in threasthening Mexico's sovereignty by forcing the government to accept HIS military to fight drug trafficking.. How about the Mexican government sending the military to USA to root out the rabid corruption in the White House? FIRST, Let Trump accept the Mexican military's help to root out crime in the White House, then let's see if the Mexican government wants Trump's help. The asshole who cheats and robs the American people every single day, is definitely going to Mexico only to LOOT. Not root out drug trafficking. Trump, you asshole, shut up and mind youur own business!

Is Trump, the biggest prostitute of USA, going to sleep with his dinner guests ...with one at a time or is he a groupie?

 Is Trump the biggest prostitute of USA  going to sleep with Chinese crypto billionaire, Justin Sun  this night (Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Trump's Virginia golf club) after dinner?

Is he going to sleep with each and every one of his dinner guests because ALL of them have paid to dine with him? 

Is Trump using protection when he sleeps  with his punters?

Is Melanie going to catch STD/s from Trump who seems to be an international prostitute raking in money from all countries and all of the world's biggest crooks?

Why the b!@#$% f^&* did I vote for Mark Carney...The fool is joining in Trump's insane, "golden dome" defence.

 That Trump's thinking is more concrete than an individual with Down's syndrome is well known.

Yet, Carney, whom, I foolishly voted for, is going along with this insane president's golden dome scheme, costing billions of money paid by hardworking people of both the countries. 

The blind greed of the Republicans who chose Trump as their representative ...why did they choose him? Did they think that it's a smart idea to have a stupid, unintelligent president as it's easy to manipulate a stupid person? 

Now the entire world is stuck with this fool, intelligent, educated, creative, upright, scruplous, decent people, powerful and leaders in their own fields have to listen to this boorish, stupid, malevolent, concrete thinker...who is full of impunity and has zero decency.

Is God angry with USA? Did God think, they have dominated the world for decades and now it's time to crash them into nothing? Is that why Trump won and became a president?

Thanks to Trump's unbridled corruption, cowardice, stupidity, I have now lost the passion, enjoyment and interest in all American movies depicing "heroic" FBI agents, CIA agents, and so on.

 Seeing Kash Patel as director of FBI is so appalling, that I think, Hollywood needs to completely stop making their crime fiction movies. Let me explain.

I am from India. Similar movies are produced in India.. I have stopped watching Indian movies as I have zero trust in the honesty of Indian police, CBI, etc. When I watch an "honest Indian cop" in the Bolly wood movies, I simply cannot suspend my disbelief.  I feel these movies are stupid and unbelievable as there is so much corruption, that the honesty of the hero in the movie looks like complete bullshit.

On the other hand, all these years, I truly enjoyed the movies from Hollywood that is American movies USA, ( and movies from Canada and west Europe)  because I believed that these countries are not corrupt or less corrupt.   Therefore the blockbuster movies and TV shows were believable to me when they showed "heroic" police, FBI agents, etc. I was literally on the edge of my seat when watching the TV show called 24..

Now, with the vile , corrupt, asshole Trump as president, Kash Patel as FBI director, etc, there is absolutely no joy or thrill in watching Hollywood movies and American TV shows for me. Now all I can think when watching the brave hero or heroine in a Hollywood movie or American TV show is that it's bullshit. All these heros and heroines are not the real deal...these agencies, American administration and judical systems have been rendered dishonest, cowardly, vile and evil by Trump.  So any depiction of good triumphing over evil is bullshit, not believable, not true.

I spent a good deal of time 0ver the last 3 decades, enjoying these shows and movies. Now thanks to Trump, these shows have lost credibility...I mean,  I know movies and shows are just fiction, but to me, they were fiction based on some reality. I believed in the reality of a relatively ethical population, ethical system, ethical government, in the USA. With this vile president, who has contaminated everything good in USA, I can no longer  enjoy Hollywood fiction as I no longer feel that good triumphing over evil is believable in USA. 

Are Trumps kith and kin cringing OR cringing but still looting in every which way possible OR, zero cringe and 100% looting the country?

Why do TV shows and movies show people having sex in airplane bathrooms when it can barely hold one medium size person?

Is Trump's self-esteem dependent on his wealth? Is that why, he's trying to accumulate it ...by accepting 400 million dollar gifts and meme coins?

Is Trump firing coloured and female heads of institutions and departments in USA? Looking at today's firing of Carla Hayden, I am convinced this asshole president is doing just that.

Advise to Indian politicians: "We can't stop you from robbing us. When you rob us, can you please, leave us something, so that...

 Advise to Indian politicians: "We can't stop you from robbing us. When you rob us, can you please, leave us something, so that...we will not be wiped out completely...if you leave us something, we can recover, heal, work hard and rebuild our wealth...then you can rob us again. If you rob EVERYTHING, we will die and then you will not have anyone left to rob...they YOU guys will die!

I have a similar advice to Trump: If you want to destroy America because you enjoy it...go ahead. No one seems to be succeeding in stopping you. But why don't you do a "controlled destruction" instead of destroying EVERYTHING? With controlled destruction, you can have the joy of demolishing your country but also have something left to destroy later? If you destroy everything now, you will have nothing to have fun with destroying later...Think about this you asshole. This is wise advice.

Should we measure Trump's IQ or his stupidity?

 Of course, Trump's IQ should be assessed! It is extremely finite and quick and easy to measure

If you try to measure his stupidity, it would take ages! His stupidity is infinite! Every single day, I read the news, more and more, new and fresh stupidity seems to ooze...no no no...I mean floods out of his mouth.

The extent of Trump's stupidity, greed, narcissism, evil is fathomless...Don't waste your time trying to measure. You will die of exhaustion before you fully gauge his stupidity, evil , greed, unscrupulousness, shamelessness, vanity and jealousy.
