I love this star shaped lichen? growing in shape of a person lying down on the rock...this plant is so soft to touch or tread on (I did NOT tread on it)

Below is a red stem, gold top grass which looks so soft, rich  and beautiful but cannot be captured by photos...

We were so lucky in our timing! We were there on the two good great weather days! 10th and 11th July. Others were complaining of rain over the past three days soaking them in their tents.

We had other great luck too....went without booking but got a campsite onsite and booked on arrival. 

No Mosquitoes. No blackflies. No deer flies. No gypsy moths (not much). Not too many people as many sites were empty...but why did we get an all-booked notice when we tried booking online?
