day 5 in Hawaii's Big Island, 26 Feb, 2020, Wednesday.Waipoa Valley

Beautiful, shady, shallow , clear water, shady beach near Kona
Below...the difficult to reach, but lovely Waipoa valley. We drove to the valley and went by shuttle(65 US$ per person) down the valley. But we did not get close to this view point below. We went down and came back up. Down are farms belonging to many farmers. The shuttle drives through rivers and unless one knows the path (there is no road), and it's unlikely for anyone outside the valley to know the paths...it's best to go by the shuttle or shuttle and then go horseback (rented horses...I think (not sure) the horses may go a bit closer to the cliffside beach in the pictures below)

Above...one can see wild horses grazing around in this valley...they are not really wild I think. They kept following our shuttle for treats which our driver gave them.

Above and below is a huge eucalyptus tree...it's called rainbow tree due to this color.  I saw this tree in the Waipoa valley.  I saw eucalyptus grooves on the way to this area but none of them had this color.

Our shuttle drove through this river. Even if one has a 4 wheel drive, unless the driver is extremely skilled at going on a very steep untarred narrow road, it's best to take the shuttle...believe you me!
