How to measure the degree of evil?
In terms of :
loss of human life ?(murders or deaths of people affected by the environmental impact of the evil person's businesses, etc) OR
death, torture and suffering of animals and trees and plants and sea life? OR
suffering and torture of people, birth and suffering of babies impacted even before birth due to the lack of resources or poisoning of their pregnant mothers via drugs, adulterated foods and ineffective, adulterated medicines OR
permanent damage to the environment caused by their callousness...the politicians who allow the damage to happen by giving in to the bribery of the powerful lobbyists
What causes this extent of evil?
greed: greed for power, wealth, lack of empathy, lack of conscience,
hatred?
jealousy?
anger?
narcissism? autocracy?
shortsighted vision?
the need to conquer feelings of low self-esteem by declaring wars?
arrogance?
Why does this evil continue?
The good people's :
refusal to be safe and not risk their skin through confrontation?
the overwhelming power of the evil vs the lack of unity among the good to come together to conquer evil?
apathy?
sense of helplessness and hopelessness and belief that things cannot change and 'no point in trying'.
